MPH/Master of Business Administration

Students from this program earn a Master of Public Health degree from the Brown School and a Master of Business Administration degree from Olin Business School. The program of study requires 95 credit hours, taken over three years.

Graduates with the joint MBA/MPH degree will have the interdisciplinary functional and critical-thinking skill set needed for distinctive impact and leadership in hospitals and pharmaceutical firms, healthcare consulting, policy think tanks, public administration and other management roles across the healthcare industry spectrum.

The MBA program takes a global and experiential approach--in the first summer, students travel from St. Louis to Washington D.C. to Barcelona and Shanghai for a series of immersive experiential learning opportunities. In the MPH program, students learn how to advance equity through coursework that examines health outcomes through epidemiological, policy, sociocultural and population perspectives. An emphasis on applied research ensures students know how to translate their findings into real-world impact.
