Center for Latino Family Research

The Latino population – already the largest and fastest-growing minority group in the United States – is expected to increase dramatically over the next few decades.  This growth presents daunting challenges for our nation as we strive to provide the needed health and social services for Latinos.

Understanding familia among Latinos in the U.S. means understanding their cultures, experiences, aspirations and needs.  It means appreciating family in their countries of birth and heritage.  The Center for Latino Family Research recognizes Latinos’ deep family ties and works to strengthen families.
