Annual State IDA Conference
States
and Assets: April
20-22, 2005 April 20-22, 2005 marked the fourth state policy conference in downtown St. Louis, Missouri sponsored by the Center for Social Development with support from the Annie E. Casey and Charles Steward Mott Foundations. The conference titled, “States and Assets: States and Assets: Building an Inclusive Policy Agenda” provided new opportunities to examine how states have developed and implemented IDA and other asset-building policies; and opportunities for conference attendees to hear about important new assets policy developments and initiatives at the state and federal levels. The conference included networking opportunities, an opening night reception, a full day and a half of workshops and plenary sessions related to assets policy in States. The event brought over 120 state policymakers, advocates, academics and researchers from more than 35 states and Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and Washington, DC.
