Description:

The study aims (1) To develop a treatment foster care program to serve older youth with psychiatric needs (TFC-OY) who have been living in residential centers. The treatment foster care model is based on Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care model, the gold standard for treatment foster care. (2). To determine feasibility and preliminary effect size estimates through a small pilot, comparing TFC-OY for older youth to a matched sample of young people receiving usual care welfare services. (3) To explore the experiences of older youth consumers, providers, and foster parents to TFC-OY.
