Description:

The goal of this work is to (1) reduce recurrent child abuse and neglect and (2) improve work with families with chronic neglect histories. Drs. Jonson-Reid and Drake were involved in an unfunded evaluation of the “Building Healthy Families” pilot (see completed projects) and are currently working with agency partners on understanding and improving assessment and screening practices to better identify families with services need to prevent recurrence. Currently, some pilot work to assess current screening practices is being supported by funds from the Research Network Development Core. This collaboration also includes the Casey Foundation.
