Project Update as of 08/26/2009
Description:
Community-based behavioral
interventions for child and adolescent MH will be the focus of the proposed
project,
given the Co-PIs’ expertise and prior experience with this population, as well
as the profound need for EBI support
in youth MH. The final product will be highly innovative, providing the unique
ability to apply the WDT to a wide
array of EBIs, which will ensure broad-based marketability (see letters of
support). Of particular importance to this
project is the unique collaboration between the applicant organization (3-C ISD),
the Brown School of Social Work
at Washington University at St. Louis, and the Missouri Department of Mental
Health (see letters), which will
provide the project with relevant expertise during prototype development and
ready access to MH professionals
during feasibility testing.
Three specific aims will be accomplished through Phase I of this project: (1)
the prototype of the WDT will be
created with input from the project Advisory Board; (2) the prototype will be
evaluated by stakeholder groups to
test the feasibility, usability, and value of the proposed WDT; and (3) a full
development plan for Phase II will be
generated based on Phase I findings and recommendations.
