Focus groups can provide detailed descriptions of people, programs, and community processes, giving practitioners insight into the motivators and determinants of behavior. This course provides a practical introduction to focus groups – when they are effective and how to develop focus group questions. Tips for recruiting group members and for facilitating focus group meetings will also be discussed. Class size is limited to 30.
