The Brown School offers two master's degrees and a doctoral degree. All of our degree programs are interdisciplinary and focus on the critical thinking skills needed to understand and address the complex social and public health challenges faced by communities large and small. 

 

Master of Public Health (MPH) 

We will ground you in the core competencies of public health, such as behavioral science, biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, and health policy. A centerpiece of our program's curriculum is a series of intensive, team-based, problem-solving courses designed to expose students to a variety of viewpoints including architecture, education, economics, law, medicine, public policy, and communications.

Our number-one ranked social work program is characterized by flexibility in the choice of courses, including the practicum, individually planned curricula, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of evidence-based practice into its teaching, research, and service.
