Dr. Boddie’s research interests include social policy and community development with particular interest in faith-based community development, asset building, public–private partnerships and service access. She has fifteen years of practice experience including work in child welfare, faith-based, mental health, and health care settings. She served as a consultant for a national foundation, faith-based organizations, and community development organizations. Her research and practice inform the master’s level classes on social welfare policy and services and community development practice she teaches. Dr. Boddie is also a faculty associate of the School’s Center for Social Development and a non-resident fellow at University of Pennsylvania’s Program for Religion and Social Policy Research.
