As a lecturer in the Brown School’s MPH program, Anne teaches classes in public health and social work research methods and program planning and evaluation, as well as an undergraduate course in international public health.  In 2010 and 2011, Washington University recognized her for excellence in teaching. In her role as assistant director for the MPH program, she advises students and oversees many of the administrative aspects of the degree program.

Anne has published on a wide range of issues related to health behavior including family planning, injury prevention, weight management for pregnant and post-partum women, and HIV prevention in international settings. 

In addition to her role at Brown School, she consults on the development, implementation and evaluation of HIV/AIDS-related behavior change projects.

Previously, she was an ASPH research fellow in the Division of Reproductive Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, held research assistant positions at several universities, and completed a Fulbright Fellowship with El Consejo de Salud Rural Andino in La Paz, Bolivia.

Anne earned her doctoral degree in health and behavioral sciences from University of Colorado, Denver and Health Sciences Center; and her Master of Public Health in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Spanish from Emory University.
