to a wide range of perspectives from diverse disciplines such as biostatistics, behavioral science, environmental health, economics, epidemiology, sociology, and social work. T

Transdisciplinary Problem Solving
Students must take 2 three-credit intensive courses with an option to take a third course as an elective, with 2-3 courses offered each semester. Topics may include:

Behavioral health

Health Policy
Epidemiology
Biostatistics
Environmental health
International health

Students can take electives from a  list of approved courses offered at the Brown School, Medical School, and elsewhere on campus (including one Transdisciplinary Problem Solving course)

Practicum 3

Culminating Experience

 

Students will work on a two-semester project to integrate and apply their knowledge of the core material and the transdisciplinary problem solving approach of the MPH program. 

 

First semester: Development of a proposal in consultation with advisors

 

Second semester: Implementation of the project and presentation to a panel of faculty, staff, and/or community members
